Fundraising

Dear All Swimmers and Parents,

Dear All Swimmers and Parents,

Welcome to the new swimming season at Waterborn Swimming Club, from May 2009 to end April 2010.

A very big thank you to all swimmers and parents who supported our numerous functions this past season. A combination of a fundraising event at The Barnyard and numerous social functions proved to be positive for both swimmers and parents of all ages. A great unity has now been formed within our club culture.

Once again the fundraising / functions portfolio will be an intricate part of the club operations in order to acquire sufficient funds to support various activities and projects. In addition funds raised will assist in covering the large administration costs borne each year to enable the efficient running of our club. The decision on how the funds are utilised is a combined decision between Peter Williams and the Waterborn Committee.

  • Our first fundraiser is currently being planned at The Barnyard, Cresta. Details will be posted on the website as soon as the date, show and costs have been finalised. Once again we appeal to parents to support the evening by purchasing a table each to entertain clients / friends. Last year was a tremendous success and the Waterborn Committee have decided to make this event their main winter fundraiser.
  • Our year end function at Glenburn Lodge, was once again a tremendous success and very well supported by our Waterborn families. This event was not a fundraiser, merely a well deserved get together at the end of a long year. All who attended had a remarkable evening. The Waterborn Committee have decided to make this a permanent feature on our functions calendar. Details will be distributed closer to the time.

In conclusion, Peter Williams and the Waterborn Committee are looking forward to another exciting season of swimming, support and commitment from both swimmers and parents.

Thanking you.
